INFECTION ZONE: SPREADING NORTH TOWARD BATH, SOMERSET
INFECTION STATUS: CRITICAL
Shepton Mallet, and in particular in and around the surrounds of Shepton Mallet Prison is a recent & emerging Zombie Infection Zone with one recurring zombie experience on offer in the HMP Shepton Mallet workshop buildings, but also a Christmas Special event in the prison itself. Both have their own challenges, fear factor and unique feel & the 2019 Christmas event is definitely a bucket list item that you can’t afford to miss, but if you do the Workshop experience will provide you with all the zombie horror & gore that you could wish for!
The Prison & its Workshop is located in Shepton Mallet, a town approximately 40 minutes south of Bath. Due to the recent zombie virus infection breakout there it has become a real threat to the nearby city! The Prison itself has existed since the 1600s & was always rumoured to be haunted, so perhaps it is quite fitting that it and its workshop buildings now have become home to the walking dead!
When arriving by car, the prison car park is situated at the top of Frithfield Lane. The closest public car parks are located on Great Ostry BA4 5DB and Old Market Rd, BA4 5DX (500 metres). From the car parks head onto Town Street/High Street, then make your way to the Cenotaph in the Market Square, with the post office behind you and the library on your left walk under the Amulet and follow the lane past the Church, keeping the church on your left until you reach the prison gates.
If you are arriving by train, Castle Cary Train Station (CLC) is approximately a 15 minute drive away. There are a number of taxi services between Castle Cary and Shepton Mallet. Swift Taxis 01749 340820, Regal Taxis 01749 347750, Mum’s Taxis 0711 572038.
If you need a hotel, we recommend using HOTELS COMBINED to find one in or near Shepton Mallet.
The Workshop is located at Shepton Mallet Prison just 40 minutes south of Bath. It is 2hrs of zombie mayhem & immersive entertainment where you get to pick who’s side you are on (and we don’t mean the zombies).
This is a Zombie Experience not to be missed! Approximately 5 hours long and full of zombie mayhem mixed with Christmas cheer (or is that horror?). Santa & his elves need rescuing from the zombie infested prison & only you can save Christmas day!
